The Crann Tara was the fiery cross — carried hand to hand, village to village, summoning people to gather for something that mattered. This is that call again: not for war, but to build a fairer, self-governing Scotland — starting with what we can do now.
// The Idea
Scotland has the assets, the talent, the universities, the energy and the history. What it has lacked is the institutional control to use them — and the will to build for the long term rather than the next election. The Crann Tara Project is a grassroots gathering point for people who want to change that: honestly, locally, and without waiting for permission.
Citizens' assemblies and participatory budgeting that give people a real, ongoing say — not a vote every five years.
Public ownership of the essentials — energy, water, digital — so the returns from Scotland's advantages flow back to its people.
Health, housing and education treated as the floor beneath every life, not privileges to be rationed.
Decisions measured in decades — a sovereign wealth fund, real land reform, and accountability that outlives any one government.

“Dram” is our Scottish-themed name for a voluntary contribution. No alcohol is purchased, supplied or delivered.
When you add your name, we collect your name, email and, if you give it, your postcode. We use these only to confirm your support and keep you posted about The Crann Tara Project. We never sell or share your details. Postcode is optional and used only to tell you about issues in your area.
Who runs it: The Crann Tara Project is operated by PSA Studio, the data controller.
Where it's stored: your details are held securely in our database (hosted by Supabase). We use a double opt-in — you're only added once you click the link in our confirmation email, which is sent through Brevo. Both process your data on our behalf under contract.
How long we keep it: for as long as the campaign runs. You can unsubscribe from any email, and ask us to delete your details, at any time.
Your rights: you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Contact [email protected].
This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. We don't profile you or follow you around the web.
Only the essential storage needed for the site to work is used. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may set essential cookies for security and reliability. You can clear or block cookies any time in your browser settings.
